Prairie High School students Anastasiia Aksonova and Verlaiya Kelly have successfully completed a 12-week internship with LSW Architects. During their internship, students collaborated with high school peers from across Southwest Washington on a real-world community design experience. This year’s focus was the Vancouver waterfront. Students conducted hands-on research that included interviewing community members. They then used that feedback to inform and shape design concepts for the waterfront, gaining valuable insight into both architecture and community-centered planning. The internship concluded with student presentations of their projects, highlighting their research, collaboration and creative problem-solving skills.
We congratulate Anastasiia and Verlaiya on this accomplishment and look forward to seeing what they achieve next!
